Tesco recalls Tesco Finest Festive Fruit & Nut Selection because of undeclared sulphur dioxide
What happened
Tesco is recalling Tesco Finest Festive Fruit & Nut Selection because some packs have been mispacked in Tesco Finest Festive Dark Chocolate Brazil Nuts packaging and therefore sulphur dioxide is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites. The correctly packed product is not affected by this recall.
Official consumer advice
If you have bought the above mispacked product and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought or if preferred, contact Tesco’s Customer Helpline on 0800 505 555 for a full refund without returning the product to store.
